Joseph Favorito

Joseph Mark Favorito, 51, of Manahawkin, passed away suddenly on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 at Southern Ocean Medical Center. He was born in New Brunswick and was raised in Monroe and Barnegat Townships before moving to Manahawkin.

Joseph was a dedicated employee for the Township of Stafford for the past 20 years as Foreman of Buildings and Grounds. In his free time, Joe loved being outdoors. He loved his early years spent on Barnegat Bay with his family, boating, crabbing, and fishing. He also enjoyed riding through the woods of the Pine Barrens with family and friends. He loved spending time with his all of his family and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph Anthony Favorito and Gloria Ortiz Jensen.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Bevilacqua Favorito, his daughter Jolie and husband, Michael Klyzub of Vero Beach, Fla., his sons, Anthony Richard, Jared Joseph and Lucas Spencer, all at home. He is also survived by his brothers Jeff Simms, Robert Simms and wife, Christine, Norman Simms and wife, Joyce, his sister Holly Dawson and husband, Dan, his sisters-in-law, Donna Duckworth and husband William, Carol Gentile and husband Lorenzo, his brother-in-law, Daniel Bevilacqua, his mother-in-law, Virginia K. Bevilacqua, father-in-law, Richard J. Bevilacqua and wife, Barbara, and one grandson Michael Joseph Klyzub as well as many other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to the Stafford Township PBA and Stafford Township Fire and Stafford Township EMS.

There will be a viewing for family and friends on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, 2:00-6:00 and a funeral service on Monday, Dec. 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m at Thos. L. Shinn Funeral Home in Manahawkin, NJ., 10 Hilliard Drive, Manahawkin, NJ 08050
