Robert Giles

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Frederick and Mary (Flemming) Giles. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen (Lineman) Giles; father of Diane German (Thaddeus) of Horsham, and Dr. Linda Giles of Downingtown; and the poppi of Deuce and Madison Mitchell.

Mr. Giles was a former auto mechanic who could fix anything. He was a member of Surf City Yacht Club and past commodore. Mr. Giles was a former past president of Gwynedd Mercy Academy and an avid golfer and fisherman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, at Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Drive, Manahawkin. NJ 08050, and to his funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 8, at St. Francis Church, 4700 Long Beach Blvd., Brant Beach, NJ, 08008, where friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
