He was predeceased by his wife, Karen Mills and his devoted mother, Elsie Mills.
Robert is survived by his sisters, Debbie Brett and Sheila Prusak of Stratford, CT., his daughter, Michelle Scott, granddaughter, Allison Kern and grandson, Michael Scott. He also is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Robert was a proud Vietnam War veteran. He was also the commander of the local disabled American Vets for years.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at the Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin, NJ.
A funeral home service will be on Friday, March 31, 2017 with burial to follow at the Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd., Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
