With heavy hearts, we announce that Rosa Hamilton, 72, of Manahawkin, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.
Rosa is survived by her children: son, James Hamilton; daughter, Melissa Morales and her husband Jaco; son Scott Wells and his wife Kassie; and daughter Sandra Jones and her husband, Dave; as well as her nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She is also survived by her siblings: brothers Timothy Hamilton and his longtime companion, Margaret, Fred Taylor; and Howard Taylor and his wife, Kim; and her sister Loretta Bornhardt; as well as her nieces and nephews.
Rosa was predeceased in death by her parents, father Timothy Sprague and mother Sarah Taylor, as well as her sister, Violet Hamilton.
Though her journey was not always an easy one, Rosa had a truly kind heart; she was a caring person who was always willing to help those in need.
A woman of simple pleasures, she truly enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved the outdoors--especially crabbing and blueberry picking. During the holidays, she took great joy in walking through the woods searching for wading pine to make wreaths. She also spent many happy afternoons browsing the Old & New Shop.
While we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing she is now with the Lord and free from pain and suffering. We can rest in the assurance of Revelation 21:4: "He will wipe away every tear from her eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."
She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Service will be private.
