RoseMarie Sorce

She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Salvatore, her devoted daughter Valerie Sorce and her husband Timothy Appert, her sister Antonia DeFilippo and her husband Vincent and her brother Joseph Guarino and his wife Roxanne as well as several nieces and nephews.

RoseMarie was a devout Catholic, she attended St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church in Manahawkin and she would go to the Chapel every day at St. Mary Catholic Church in Barnegat.

She loved the beach; she and her family would vacation on Long Beach Island every summer. Surf City was her happy place. She was a giving person; she gave her all to her family and friends. She played an important role of the lives of her nieces and nephews as well as her extended family. She was always there to be a helping hand to anyone who needed comfort and love.

RoseMarie was a devoted mother to Valerie; she was the best mother a daughter could ever ask for.

She loved God, her family and her country.

A Mass will be held 10:00am on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church, 100 Bishop Lane, Manahawkin. There will be a Church service from 1:00-1:30 at St. Lucy’s Church 118 7th Ave. Newark, NJ with a committal service to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 125 Central Ave. East Orange, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations in RoseMarie’s name sent to Ken’s Kitchen, in care of St. Mary Church, PO Box 609, Barnegat, NJ 08005.
