Sheryl A Duflocq

She was born and raised in Ridgewood, NJ to her late parents, Eugene and Marion Ottens of Ridgewood, NJ and later of Wilmington, NC. Sheryl graduated from Ridgewood High School in 1977 in which she cherished her strong friendships with Kathy (Dog), Dee, Carolyn and too many more to mention.

She is survived by her husband Chris, her brother Eugene (Sandy) and her long-time best friend and co-worker Suzanne.

Sheryl was a devoted dental assistant and loved working for Dr. Mayer Mechanic, Dr. Mike Varalli and Dr. Joe Mauriello at Ho-Ho-Kus Dental in NJ for over 35 plus years.

Sheryl loved LBI and its many beaches, along with her passion of boating in Beach Haven West with her best friends, Capt's, mates, and crew consisting of Bob & Beth, John & Maureen, Bill & Sandy and Sal & Alice.

Sheryl also became a strong intermediate skier, skiing out west on her many trips to Colorado, Utah, & Tahoe with her many close friends and classmates consisting of Bob & Beth, Bob & Nancy, Bob (Ski) & Suzie, Jimmy V. & Nancy V. (Spike), Brian (Big Mac), Mark & Pam, and Etzio.

Sheryl, an avid bowler, played many years with her girlfriends in multiple women leagues in North Jersey.

Sheryl loved watching NFL football. For over 20 years she attended her favorite NY Giants home games as a season ticket holder, along with her brother-in-law "Farmer Joe," and the rest of her tail gating crew; no matter what the weather was.

She loved animals, (especially her cats), and going to various zoos.

Sheryl loved Halloween and would often dress in various costumes to give out candy when neighborhood children came by for trick or treating. Gardening work around her house was another one of her favorite past times.

She will be missed by many. May she Rest in Peace.
