Shirley A Erbe

Shirley was born at home in Windsor, New Jersey to the late Harfford and Anna (Cortelyou) Mount on February 24, 1929.

She lived on South Main Street in Windsor, New Jersey attending Windsor School then Allentown High School. She married the love of her life Lester Erbe in August of 1949 in Windsor, New Jersey.

Shirley and Les settled in Hightstown for the next 70 plus years before moving to Barnegat in 2022.

Shirley was always a hard-worker since childhood where she would help her neighbors, chop wood, and pick potatoes with her sister. She held many positions in the Hightstown area and retired as a school bus driver for the East Windsor School District. She knew and loved the Lord deeply, a faith she joyfully shared with everyone around her. She was happiest when surrounded by her family; she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones.

Predeceased by her parents Harfford and Anna Mount; her two brothers Carlton Mount, Gaius Mount, sister Phyllis Mount Stout; grandson Brian Schurter and son in law Jimmy Vincelli.

She is survived by her sister Rachel Mount Noto, Dunnellon, Florida; two daughters and a son in law, Sara Vincelli of Barnegat to whom she resided with, and Susan and Thomas Orlando of Elloree, South Carolina; two sons and a daughter in law, Lester Jr. and Jane (Franken) Erbe of Hightstown, New Jersey; and Keith Erbe of Phoenix, Arizona, sister in law Esther Petersohn, of Virginia; brother in law and sister in law, Daniel and Kathy Erbe of Virginia; two sisters in laws, Sally Erbe of Pennsylvania and Cindy Erbe of Massachusetts, 8 grandchildren: Cindy, Carla, Lester 3rd, Jennifer, Mary, Jeff, Thomas, Christen, 17 great grandchildren: Krystal, Tara, Joshua, Evan, Jason, Sean, Alyssa, Damon, Will, Justin, Amy, Kevin, Emily, Anthony, Samantha, Amanda, Elizabeth, and 6 great great grandchildren: Brian, David, Everly, Dominic, Kaylee and Violet

A private burial will take place at a later date.
