

Born in Newark, she lived in Springfield for the past 63 years.
Prior to retiring in 1982, she was a Hebrew School teacher at Temple Emanuel, Westfield, where she worked for over 30 years.
She received her Bachelors Degree from Rutgers University, Phi Beta Kappa, in 1975, at the same time as her late son Robert. She and her son were profiled in the NY Daily News as a mother/son graduate team.
She was Past President of the Suburban Essex Chapter of Deborah.
Mrs. Stromeyer was predeceased by her beloved son Robert.
Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Norman; 2 sons: William Stromeyer of Springfield and David Stromeyer and his wife Patricia of Monroe Twp.; 2 sisters: Beth Kaplan and her husband Howard and Vivienne Cohen and her husband Robert; 6 grandchildren: Jesse Stromeyer and his wife Evangeline, Ryan Stromeyer and his wife Amy and Mickey Stromeyer, Adam Brawer and his wife Keely, Marlena Fass and her husband Robert and Samuel Stromeyer, and 6 great-grandchildren: Mason Stromeyer, Leah, Ava and Aaron Fass, and Westley and Jonathan Brawer.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 26, at 2:00 pm at the Beth Israel Cemetery Mausoleum, Woodbridge, under the direction of Bloomfield Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan.
