Helane was an amazing friend .  We were so happy just to hang out and enjoy each other’s company.  Whether it was a day out at the theater , lunch at a local restaurant or just sitting by the pool , it was a joyful time.  There was never any judgment . We accepted and supported each other in every aspect of our lives.  I miss her. My heart hurts.

Wanted to add this photo… our Tuesday bookclub holiday celebration  Helane encouraged me to join 2 years ago and we’ve shared almost every monthly meeting (preceded by happy hour of course) for 2 years. These memories will last forever, and it will NOT be the same without her there. Everyone really enjoyed her input and enthusiasm and are so sad and heartbroken about her sudden passing. Helane LOVED to read….she read book after book after book! And she was smart, had interesting and thoughtful opinions, and great insight and viewpoints. In her honor ( I don’t know if it was mentioned) I want to encourage and pass on her INCREDIBLE love of books to anyone interested who may not be an avid reader yet, and to see how it may enrich your life. She did that for me and I love her for that❤️

My heart is hurting. When we first reconnected in DSW who knew we'd become the best of friends.  Most weeks a special lunch to catch up:  talk about our kids, books, and anything that was on our minds at the time. 
Helane was always comforting when I was sad and vice versa.  Going back to our high school days, I think we met at sing rehearsals.  Me coming to rehearsals giggling so much and Helane sitting in back of me and getting blamed for the noise (Sorry).  For at least 15 years our friendship flourished.  When the waves of life 
were high we reached the top together and rode them with grace. I loved those lazy days at the pool and I'm so grateful you always welcomed Jenna to join us.  Both of us being November babies we always went out for a special birthday dinner.  The last time we spoke there was a promise to make a date.  Unfortunately it never came to fruition.  Our last lunch together at Als ended with a giant hug and from the bottom of my soul I said as I always do , "I love you ".  Rest in Peace My Friend.

We are sending our love and support to you and your family at this sad time.  Getting to know you guys and hanging out with you was such a special pleasure (on our Tauck trip to England, Wales, and Scotland in 2022).  We have thought of you often since then.  I can still hear Helane’s infectious laugh and Peg and I remembered when Helane tried to set our dinner table on fire!  We hope knowing how much people loved Helane will provide you with some comfort.

Dear Gary and Family.  

Our hearts are broken at the loss of your beloved Helane--and beloved she was, not only to her family and friends whom she adored, but to all her colleagues who respected  her style and compassion for the clients at BBCS Counseling, where she worked. 

Her loss will be felt for a very long time.  Everyone who heard of her passing has said the same thing to me:  "She Was So Nice...How Saddend We  Feel."  She was the perfect person to make people feel so  comfortable when they couageously called our practice and the first persons voice they heard was Helane's. They instantly felt heard!

  Helane was a liasion to the public and the counselors.   We thank God for having such a sweet, kind, smart and loving human being in our midst.  God will surely watch over her in heaven.  She was and is angelic.   Her memory is truly a blessing and may she rest in Peace.  She truly made a difference in the lives of all who knew her.

 With respect and our deepest condolences  to all the children and grandchildren  and a special prayer for Gary.
