Howard is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 52 years, Shirley Goldsmith; his daughters, Mandy Steinberg and her husband, Eric, and Jenna Krause and her husband, Sam; his cherished grandchildren, Olivia Steinberg, Amelia Steinberg, Jordana Krause, and Henry Krause; and his sister, Joan Fisher and her husband, Gary.
He was predeceased by his parents, Hyman and Sylvia Goldsmith.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on April 15, 2026, at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, New Jersey 07726.
Shiva will be observed at the Goldsmith residence on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; and Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Shiva will continue at the Krause residence on Saturday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
