He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Joan Steinberg, in 1983 and his brother Alan Steinberg in 2016. Irwin is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Gwen and Bill Furst, his sister Janet Fassman, his sister-in-law Cathy Steinberg, and his beloved grandchildren, Joan and Max Furst.
Irwin dedicated 42 years of his life to the Coca-Cola Bottling Company, where he built lasting relationships and a reputation for hard work and commitment. He was known for his kindness, humor, and unwavering support for his family and friends. Irwin's love for life and those around him will be remembered fondly.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 12:30 PM at Temple Israel Memorial Park - CSI Nyack Cemetery, located at 75 Van Wyck Rd, Blauvelt, NY.
Following the service, Shiva will take place at the home of Gwen and Bill Furst. Guests are welcome to visit after 5 PM on Wednesday, after 2 PM on Thursday and after sundown on Saturday.
In place of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association in Irwin's memory.
Irwin will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
