

He was born to the late Augusta and Harry Goldberg on August 19,1924 in NYC.
He grew up in Belle Harbor, N.Y. He married the late Beatrice Heitner Gray in 1950. They lived in Arverne, NY, then Matawan,NJ, where they raised their family. They retired to Lakewood, NJ.
He owned a flooring business in NYC for many years.
A lifetime member of Matawan Township First Aid Squad, serving as captain and president for many years. He was a 60 year member of the Free Masons of New York Amos-Fort Greene Lodge No. 922.
He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Merchant Marines.
He enjoyed fishing and boating. He traveled extensively with his wife,children and extended family.
He is survived by his two daughters: Mara and her husband Richard Micklovic of Freehold,NJ and Helene and her husband David Bryan of Snellville,GA. He is also survived by four grandchildren : Shari and her husband Craig of Manalapan,NJ, Steven Micklovic,Lauren Ashburn, and Gregory Ashburn. He is also survived by two great grandchildren, Micah and Ayla.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday April 23 at 11:00 am at Mount Lebanon Cemetery
Iselin,NJ.
