

Lawrence Kaplan, 91, of Marlboro, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold, NJ. Born in the Bronx, NY, he resided in the Bronx and Brooklyn, NY before moving to Marlboro, NJ.
Larry proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. He spent 35 years at Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith in Manhattan, New York and Plainsboro, NJ in data processing and telecommunications. He retired as a Vice President of Telecommunications. Larry's love of his life was his wife Natalie, and they loved traveling. They were also very passionate about going to Atlantic City -- Harrah's Casino in particular! -- for many, many years.
He was predeceased by his wife Natalie. Survived by his children Michelle Sicklick and her husband Dr. Michael Sicklick DMD, Joseph Kaplan and his wife Kathryn, Eric Kaplan and his wife Mary Lou and Lisa Kaplan.
Also survived by Larry are his many grandchildren: Morgan, Alexis, and Tori Sicklick, and Tori’s husband Shawn Yates; Benjamin, Joshua, and Jared Kaplan; Jennifer and her husband Chris Hammel, Dana and Danielle Wheat. Larry is also survived by his great grandchildren: Nolan, Briella, Charlie, Angelo, Cameron and Landon.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 20th at 11am at the Bloomfield Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Ave, Manalapan, NJ followed by his burial at Floral Park Cemetery, 104 Deans Rhode Hall Rd. Monmouth Junction, NJ. The funeral service was previously livestreamed on Zoom.
Funeral reception to follow cemetery services will be announced then.
Shiva will be held at Eric & Mary Lou Kaplan’s Home, 57 Darien Rd, Howell, NJ 07731 on Thursday 6-8pm and Sunday 1-4pm & 6-8pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Police Athletic League (Bronx) or Tree for Israel.
