She is survived by her daughter Toby Elkin (Paul) and her son Jay Bassell (Orna); her grandchild Dara (Brian), her grandchild Lisa (Larry), her grandchild Lior (Travis), her grandchild Nadav, her great-grandchild Brandon (Erin), her great-grandchild Alex, her great-grandchild Olivia, her great-grandchild Ethan and her great-grandchild Zoe.
Leona was preceded in death by her husband William Bassell.
Funeral service for Leona will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2025 from 11:00 AM at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, NJ 07726. For those who cannot attend in person, the services will be livestreamed on Zoom:
