Sidney Jerome Cohen

Sidney was born in the Bronx, NY. He grew up in Coney Island, NY where he met his lovely wife Esther and they raised their family in Brooklyn, NY. Sidney and Esther moved to Old Bridge, NJ to be near their family and then finally they moved to Monroe, NJ.

He was employed by the New York City Transit Authority for over 40 years as an electrician. Sidney loved his wife Esther and his family very much. He enjoyed speaking about his time in the Army, and all the vacations he went on with his family.

Sidney was predeceased by his wife Esther, who was the love of his life. Surviving is his son Michael Cohen and his wife Karen, son Carl and his wife beth, 5 grandchildren and 1 Great grandchild including Lauren Mosery and her husband Chad and their son Wyatt, Matthew Cohen, Melanie Cohen, Scott Cohen, and Brian Cohen.

Funeral Services for Sidney will be held Tuesday February 18, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, NJ 07726. Burial will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ.

Shiva will be observed at Michael and Karen Cohen's residence - 20 Kings Mill Road, Monroe, NJ 08831 on Tuesday from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
