Anthony G. “Barney” Goverinos, 92, of Manchester, died December 24, 2013 at the Laurel Center of Bedford after a brief illness. He was born in Manchester on June 27, 1921, the son of George and Jenny (Caisk) Goverinos and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City. He was educated in the local school system.
He was a US Army veteran during World War II and was also employed for many years as a truck driver with Auclair Transportation.
Members of his family include his son George Goverinos of Weare and his two sisters Georgia Bouchard and her husband John of Bedford and Christine Laridis of Hyde Park, MA as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There are no calling hours. A Committal Service will be held on Monday December 30 at 9AM in Pine Grove Cemetery 765 Brown Ave. in Manchester. The McHugh Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family with his care.
