

Calista E. Rattigan, 99, formerly of 175 Chestnut St. Manchester died February 10, 2012 at her home after a brief illness. She was born on August 8, 1912 in Manchester the daughter of Charles and Eva (Classe) Thrasher and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City. She was educated in the Manchester School System but was forced to leave school at an early age to help with the support of her family. She was employed as an assembler at Modutec, Inc. for many years.
Calista was an excellent baker and loved spoiling her family with her delicious desserts. She also enjoyed her favorite pastime, Bingo.
She was predeceased by her husband of twenty-six years Russell S. Rattigan in 1957 and by her son Russell E. Rattigan.
Members of her family include her daughter Virginia Boucher and her husband Arthur of Manchester, her two sons Richard Rattigan of Merrimack and Robert Rattigan and his wife Maddy of Avon Park, Fl, her daughter-in-law Alice Rattigan of Manchester as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation was held on Monday February 13, 2012 from 5 to 8PM at the McHugh Funeral Home 283 Hanover St corner of Beech St. in Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday February 14, 2012 at 10AM at St. Joseph Cathedral corner of Pine and Lowell Sts. Interment will followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
