Elizabeth Letares, 61, of Manchester, NH, went Home to The Lord and her eternal family on Sunday, March 18, 2018, at the Merrimack Community Hospice House surrounded by family and friends. Elizabeth now joins her mother who had preceded her in July 2017.
Elizabeth was the third child born to the late Regina (Turner) and William Letares. Elizabeth attended Manchester West High School. Elizabeth was also a lifelong learner.
Elizabeth was employed most of her life in the food service industry in notable restaurants throughout Manchester where she used her effervescent people skills to garner friends and loyal customers. Elizabeth's Greek and Cajun roots were testament in her flower gardens that adorned her house. Elizabeth was an earthy simplistic free spirit who had a benevolent heart and soul which she used to champion for the disenfranchised and marginalized underdogs in life. Elizabeth was an extraordinary strong woman who endured to the end with unwavering courage and strength. Elizabeth's true enjoyment in life came from her family, privacy and flower gardens.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Stephanie, brothers John (wife Mary) and Stephen, sister Christine (Christopher), half-siblings, Mike, Michelle, Kimberly, Daphne and Christopher. Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, siblings Gregory and Rhea, grandparents, several aunts and uncles. She also leaves behind nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family in Greece and Louisiana.
Visitation was held on Friday March 23 from 5 to 8 pm at the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St. corner of Beech St. in Manchester with a Memorial Service celebrated at 7:30 pm. All were welcome to regale in Elizabeth's life. Please bring photos, stories, and the laughter you shared with Elizabeth.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to The Way Home, 214 Spruce St. Manchester, NH 03103, or to the Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Rd. Merrimack, NH 03054.
The family is grateful for the attentive health care Elizabeth received and wish to thank all of those providers involved, especially the CMC nursing staff, the Home Health & Hospice Care and the Community Hospice House of Merrimack.
Soar high Beth! You are Home with The Lord and family! We love you! Until we meet again...
