

George Alton Booth, age 88, died peacefully March 17, 2016 at Hillsboro County Nursing Home and Rehabilitaion Center in Goffstown, N.H. He is survived by his six children, James E. Booth of Durham, N.H., George A. Booth, Jr. of Pittsfield, N.H., Mary Ann Wiseman Hennigan of Englewood, Fl., Linda M. Lojko of Beverly, Ma., Thomas M. Booth of Allison Park, Pa., and Susan M. Humerian of Danvers, Ma. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
George was born April, 25, 1927 in Girard, Ohio, attended Youngstown State University and retired from Dana Corporation in 1992. He retired to Englewood, Fl. and, in 2008, he and his wife, Mary who passed in September of 2015, moved to Goffstown, N.H.
George was a veteran of WWII and the and Korean War. He was an avid golfer and was happiest during his years with Mary at their golf course home in Englewood, Fl.
A memorial service will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church at 1 E. Union St.in Goffstown, N.H.on Wednesday March 30 at 10:00 AM followed by interment at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, N.H. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 1 East Union St., Goffstown, NH 03045. The family has entrusted the McHugh Funeral Home with his care.
