
Jeanne D. Romanos 77, of Manchester died February 21, 2012 at the Hanover Hill Healthcare Center after a lengthy illness. She was born on October 5, 1934 in Manchester the daughter of Albert and Alice (Bourassa) Houle and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City. She was educated in the Manchester School System and attended Central High School.
Jeanne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a dear friend to all. She was a devoted homemaker who loved caring for her family. She loved spending the holidays with family and friends and made each one special. Her love of music was evident as she enjoyed singing and dancing to every tune. Even in illness, she looked at everything in a positive manner and felt that anything was possible.
She was employed for many years at the Puritan Restaurant on Elm St. where she met her husband of 40 years George Romanos and had numerous good friends.
Members of her family include her son Charles Romanos and his wife Bonnie of Manchester, her two grandsons Daniel Fournier Jr. of Merrimack and Ryan Romanos of Manchester, her step-daughter Helen Burns of Lakeland Fl, her step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren, as well as her niece and several cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband in May 2000, her son Daniel Fournier Sr. in September 2005 and her brother Albert Houle in July 2001. Jeanne’s family would like to thank the staff of the Hanover Hill Healthcare Center and the Beacon Hospice for the loving care they provided.
An hour of visitation was held on Friday February 24 from 11AM to noon at the McHugh Funeral Home 283 Hanover St. corner of Beech St. in Manchester. A Funeral Service was celebrated at noon in the funeral home. Interment will followed in Pine Grove Cemetery.
