

John T. McHugh, 53, of Manchester died July 26, 2014 at the Elliot Hospital after a sudden illness. He was born in Manchester on July 11, 1961 the son of Robert and Julia (Baroody) McHugh and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City. He was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of Manchester Memorial High School.
He was employed as an electronics assembler at XMA Corporation in Manchester for several years. John was a talented artist and painted many beautiful landscapes. He loved the ocean particularly spending time at Port Clyde, Maine. He was an excellent cook and many family and friends enjoyed his gourmet cuisine at family get-togethers. He enjoyed all types of music and cherished his quiet time spent fishing.
Members of his family include his sister Lillian Smith and her husband Robert of Manchester, his brother Robert McHugh and his wife Lee of Loudon, his nephew Jonathan Smith of Manchester and his aunt Jackie Baroody of Auburn as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday July 30 from 4 to 7PM at the McHugh Funeral Home 283 Hanover St. corner of Beech St. in Manchester. A funeral service was celebrated on Thursday July 31 at 10AM at Our Lady of the Cedars Church 140 Mitchell St. Urn burial was held at a later date.
