

June E. Parfitt 59, of Manchester, died May 12, 2011 at the Elliot Hospital. She was born in Manchester on August 12, 1951, the daughter of Algernon and Dorothy (Wilson) Skinner and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City. She was educated in the Manchester School System and was a graduate of Immaculata High School Class of 1969.
June was an excellent homemaker and took great pride when entertaining her family and friends. She was an expert seamstress and quilter and enjoyed researching her family genealogy. Some of her work was published in her book “The Genealogy of the Walter Family.” She was also an animal lover and was devoted to her many cats.
Members of her family in addition to her father include her husband of 35 years John Parfitt of Manchester, a stepson Christopher Parfitt and his wife Cynthia of Union City, NJ, her three brothers Robert Skinner and his wife Crystal of Plymouth, Richard Skinner and his wife Priscilla of Huntsville, AL and Thomas Skinner and his wife Sherry of Chelmsford, MA, her stepbrother Ralph Hutchinson of Hooksett and her stepsister Nancy Baradziej and her husband Lennie of Manchester as well as five nephews, one niece, two great-nephews and three great-nieces.
There are no calling hours. A private committal will be held at the convenience of the family. The family requests that memorial donations in June’s name be made to the American Diabetes Association 132 Middle St. Manchester, NH 03101 or to the Manchester Animal Shelter 490 Dunbarton Rd. Manchester, NH 03102.
