Kathy M. Moreau, 65, of Manchester, NH, formerly of Medford, MA, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at the Concord VNA Hospice House, surrounded by her family, after a long illness. The daughter of Lawrence and Kathleen (Kelly) Guiney, she was born in Medford, MA on June 28, 1954. She graduated from Medford High School in 1972, and, while she excelled at many sports, she particularly enjoyed playing softball.

She was a data entry clerk at the Middlesex County Registry of Deeds in Cambridge, for thirteen years before giving up her career to raise her children. Outside of spending time with her family and friends, Kathy enjoyed maintaining the house and doing yard work. She loved going out to eat with her family, road trips to Hampton Beach, and spending time with her neighbors at evening bonfires. She was a passionate fan of the Boston Red Sox, the Boston Bruins, and the New England Patriots. She will be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend.

She is survived by her husband of forty years, Stephen Moreau, her sons Stephen Moreau and his wife Sharon and Sean Moreau, all of Manchester, her sisters Susan Guiney Burke and her partner Corby Roche of Medford, MA, and Laurie Guiney and her partner Jean Reynolds of Auburn, as well as several cousins.

Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6 from 4 to 7pm, at the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St., at the corner of Beech St., in Manchester. A Memorial Service was celebrated on Friday February, 7 at 11 am in the funeral home. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery. The family has requested that memorial donations in Kathy’s name be made to the Concord Regional VNA Hospice House, 240 Pleasant St., Concord, NH 03301, or the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Dr., Suite 210, Bedford, NH 03110.

My heart is full of 30 years of memories. My eyes tear up when my heart tells me we will never see another year. The memories we share will comfort me, saying goodbye too soon to my best friend. Your mom and dad are holding you tight, as we prepare to let you go on this difficult night.

Steve, may the happy memories of your beloved Kathy walk with you during this time. I pray that the day comes soon when her memory brings a smile to your face before a tear to your eye. Until then, I pray that you and your family and friends find peace in the love of Jesus Christ, and knowing that her suffering has finally ended. May God richly bless you all during this time.

Kathy, Sue, and Laurie, what a threesome! Sisters who truly loved and cared for each other through thick and thin. So sorry for the loss of one of this trio. My thoughts are with the family, and my hope is that you find the strength in your love to help you through this.
