

Kenneth R. Bond, 69, of Manchester, died September 19, 2012 at his residence. He was born on June 20, 1943 in Manchester the son of Sherman and Gladys (Johnson) Bond and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City. He was educated in the Manchester School System and attended Central High School.
He was a longtime employee of the Manchester Highway Department and Pine Grove Cemetery. He was also employed at the Alcumet Company and at the Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant.
Ken loved sports, especially baseball and basketball and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Celtics. As a teen he received an invitation for a tryout with the Red Sox.
Members of his family include his two sons Kenneth J. Bond of Manchester and Gregory Bond of Weare, his daughter April Bond of Manchester, his three grandchildren Joshua Bond, Tiffany Albert and Landon Bond, a great-grandson Jaden Albert, his four brothers Bernard Bond and his wife Elaine of Weare, Leonard Bond and his wife Claire of Indiana, Russell Bond and his wife Corinne of Derry and Thomas Bond of Massachusetts, his sister Sandy Marchwicz and her husband John of Manchester, his companion Annie Smith and his former wife Linda Klardie both of Manchester as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his daughter Marsha Bond in 1990.
Visitation was held on Monday September 24, 2012 from 4 to 7PM at the McHugh Funeral Home 283 Hanover St. corner Beech St. in Manchester. A Funeral Service was celebrated at 10AM on Tuesday September 25 in the funeral home. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery.
