

A lifelong resident of Manchester, he was born here on June 23, 1933 the son of Leandre and Adelina (Rouleau) Murphy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Prior to his retirement, he was the owner of Murphy & Laliberte Paving Company.
He was a member of the Kinnicum Fish & Game Club. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors.
Lenny was devoted to his wife of 60 years, Georgette. They were known as the cutest couple; always holding each other’s hand after all these years.
He is survived by his wife, Georgette (Picard) Murphy of Manchester; two sisters, Clarisse Lewis of San Luis Obispo, CA and Dorothy Bourget of Manchester; several nieces and nephews; several godchildren, among them Robert Paquin of Manchester; as well as special friends, Robin Laliberte of Candia and Daniel Laliberte of Auburn.
Private graveside services at St. Augustin Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. The McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St. has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Manchester Animal Shelter, 490 Dunbarton Rd., Manchester NH 03102.
