Mary Soteriou Bardon

Mary (Soteriou) Bardon 89, of Manchester died on February 15, 2011 at the Ridgewood Healthcare Center in Bedford after a lengthy illness. She was born in Manchester on August 14, 1921, the daughter of Costos and Efrosene (Tsintzas) Soteriou. Mary was raised in Manchester and was educated in the Manchester School System.

When she was 21, Mary moved to Detroit, MI where she met and married Arthur Bardon. She was employed as a spot welder for the Budd Corporation with 32 years of service. She returned to Manchester in 1985.

Family members include her godchild Kathleen Noble of Florida, two nephews Bill Soterion of Florida, Phil Koufos of Michigan and three nieces Carol Llewellyn of Wolfboro, Mary Ann Sanopoulos of Manchester, and Priscilla Orosco of Michigan and numerous cousins

Calling hours were held on Thursday February 17, 2011 from 4 to 7PM at the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St corner of Beech St. The Trisagion service was celebrated at 6PM by the Rev Andrew Mahalares. A Funeral Service was held on Friday February 18, 2011 at 1:30PM in St George Greek Orthodox Cathedral 650 Hanover St. Manchester. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery.
