
Paul C. Baryiames, 84, of Manchester, died April 9, 2014 at the Elliot Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on June 25, 1929 in Avgerinos, Greece the son of Costas and Panayiou (Kousoulis) Baryiames. He emigrated to the United States in 1946 and proudly became a U.S. citizen. He was educated in Greece and also in the local school system and was a graduate of Manchester Central High School. He also attended the Porter School of Tool and Machine Design.
Paul was a veteran of the Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was employed at Sanders Associates/BAE Systems as manager of the Drafting and Design department for 30 years.
He enjoyed getting together with family and friends and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was predeceased by his brother Michael Baryiames in 2006.
Member of his family include his wife of 52 years Agapi (Karamatsoukas) Baryiames of Manchester, his son Kostas Baryiames and his wife Beth of Hollis, his daughter Antonia Ahern and her husband Michael of Herndon, VA, his four grandchildren and his sister Mabel O’Sullivan of Columbia, MD as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday April 11 from 10 to 11AM at the McHugh Funeral Home 283 Hanover St. corner of Beech St. in Manchester. A Funeral Service followed at 11AM in the funeral home. Encryptment was in Pine Grove Cemetery.
