Souad H. Kessop

She was born in Beirut, Lebanon on October 31, 1931, the daughter of Chakib and Sophie (Saad) Haidar. She has resided in Manchester since 1974. She was the widow of George J. Kessop who died in December 1994.

Souad was a member of Our Lady of the Cedars Melkite Church. She always enjoyed dancing and cherished her special relationship with her nieces and a grandniece.

Family members include a sister Houda Kelly of Manchester; four brothers, Antoine Haidar of Florida, Chuck Haidar of Manchester, George Haidar of Beirut Lebanon and Wissam Haidar of Manchester; many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Emile Haidar and Samir Haidar.

The family extends their thanks and gratitude to the staff of Hanover Hill Healthcare for the wonderful care given to Souad.

Calling hours were on Thursday from 9 to 10:30 AM in the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St., corner of Beech St. A funeral ceremony was held at 11 AM in Our Lady of the Cedars Church, corner of Calef Rd. and Mitchell St. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
