

Stephen F. Duval, 65, of Manchester, died November 5, 2015 at the Elliot Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born in Manchester on May 10, 1950, the son of Paul and Blanche (Clement) Duval and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City. He was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of Manchester High School West Class of 1968.
He was a proud veteran of the US Air Force during the Vietnam War Era and retired as a Technical Sergeant with 20 years of service. Steve enjoyed sports and cheering for the Boston teams and loved spending time with his family, friends and his dogs Thor and Thunder but his real passion was celebrating Christmas and playing Santa for many children, both the young and young at heart. He will be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother.
He was predeceased by his parents and by his brothers Thomas Duval and James Duval.
Members of his family include his wife of 31 years Sandy Duval, his sons Trevor Duval and his wife Clara and Tim Duval and his wife Sonia Halcarz, his grandchildren Jenna Halcarz-Duval and Andrew Halcarz-Duval and his sister Corinne Duval all of Manchester as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Visitation was held on Sunday November 8 from 1 to 4 pm at the McHugh Funeral Home 283 Hanover St. corner of Beech St. in Manchester. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in Steve’s name be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of NH 814 Elm St. Suite 300 Manchester, NH 03101.
