

Webster C. “Mike” Riley, 84, passed away Wednesday February 4, 2015 at the Ridgewood Center in Bedford, after a long illness. He was born in Manchester on September 10, 1930 the daughter of Earl and Edith (Emery) Riley and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City. He was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of Manchester Central High School. He also attended St. Anselm College pursuing courses in criminology.
He was a proud veteran of the US Army, serving as a corporal during the Korean Conflict. Mike married the love of his life, Faye Richards, in 1955 and together they celebrated 48 years of marriage until her passing in 2004. Following his military service, he served as a police officer with the Manchester Police Department. After his police service, he was employed as a warehouse supervisor with Consolidated Foods of Nashua. He was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church, the Teamsters Union Local 633 and numerous fraternal veterans associations. He had a passion for football and played for Central High School and for the US Army while stationed in Korea.
In addition to his parents, Mike was predeceased by his wife Faye Riley, by his brothers Earl Riley, Reginald (Sip) Riley and Lester (Spike) Riley and by his sisters Irene Riley, Rita Hamel and Bette Trombly.
Members of his family include his two sons Webster “Wes” Riley and his wife Valerie of Concord and Mark Riley and his wife Pamela of Bedford, his six grandchildren Lianne (Riley) Lussier of Middlebury, VT, John Riley and James Riley both of Concord, Jeffery Riley, Katelyn Riley and Abigail Riley all of Bedford, his two brothers Bruce Riley of Florida and Guy Riley of Manchester and his three sisters Lee Archambeault of Nashua, Patricia Comer and Fran Phillibotte both of Manchester as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday February 9 from 10 am to noon at the McHugh Funeral Home 283 Hanover St. corner of Beech St. in Manchester followed by a Funeral Service at 1 pm in St. Andrews Episcopal Church 102 No. Main St. Manchester. Encryptment followed in Pine Grove Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in Mike’s name be made to St. Andrews Episcopal Church Building Fund 102 No. Main St. Manchester, NH 03102.
