
Herbert H. Miller, 74, of Manchester, passed away on Friday December 3, at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ. Herb was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, and was also a veteran of the United States Army. He was happily employed for 45 years by Schering-Plough Corp in Bloomfield, Kenilworth and then finally in Madison.
Herb was a former 60 year resident of Bloomfield, NJ, where he was a high school athlete, excelling in football, basketball and baseball. He was very active in the Bloomfield Athletic Hall of Fame, of which he was a former President and very active in the Bloomfield High School Alumni Association. Herb was also an active participant in the Bloomfield Fat and Forty League.
Herb and his wife moved to the Renaissance Community in Manchester, New Jersey in 1998. Herb became a paraplegic in 1999, but that was not a deterrent to him. Herb became a role model in the Community. He was a very active member in the Community and enjoyed his life to the fullest.
He leaves his devoted wife Natalie, and his cherished daughter, Loren. He leaves his sister, Marlene Scharback (Ronald), his niece Lynn Sheridan (Patrick) and his nephew Glenn Scharback (Alison). He also leaves 3 grand nieces and I grand nephew.
Viewing will be at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ 08759, on Monday December 6, from 2-5 and 7-9 pm. A Service with Military Honors will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, December 7, in the Chapel at the Brig. WC Doyle Veteran Memorial Park, 350 Provinceline Rd. Wrightstown, NJ.
