Katherine M. Sweeney, 97, passed away Tuesday at Hampton Ridge Nursing Home, Toms River. Katherine was born in Passaic and lived in Saddle Brook before moving to Leisure Knoll, Manchester in 1981.
She is predeceased by her husbands William R. Mechan (1966) and John W. Sweeney (1999). Surviving is her cousin Eileen Howard of Rosemead, CA., a niece Susan B. Mechan of Paramus, and two care givers and close friends Patti and Genelle Gundersen.
Funeral services will be private. The Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, is handling the arrangements.
