Marc “Sal” Bellucci, a devoted husband, dedicated caregiver, and proud public servant, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on Feb 25th, 2026. A man of deep faith in the Catholic tradition, Sal lived his life guided by compassion, service, and unwavering devotion to others.
Sal began his lifelong career of caring for others in 1983 as a paramedic, answering countless calls with courage, skill, and a calm presence that brought comfort in moments of crisis. His commitment to healing extended beyond emergency care. He served as a Certified Addictions Nurse for several years, offering hope and dignity to those battling substance use disorders. He also worked as a Correctional Facility Nurse, where he treated every individual with fairness and humanity, and as a Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse, where his gentle spirit and steady hand brought peace and comfort to patients and their families during life’s most sacred moments.
In addition to his work in healthcare, Sal proudly served as a former firefighter with the Neptune Township Fire Department, further demonstrating his lifelong commitment to protecting and serving his community. His dedication to hospice care was recognized with a Volunteer Hospice Award, a reflection of his selfless heart and tireless generosity.
Beyond his professional life, Sal embraced the outdoors and the simple joys of living. He found happiness in hunting, fishing, boating, horseback riding, camping, motorcycle riding, traveling, and RV adventures. He loved cooking for family and friends and was a proud member of the BBB Club, always eager to buy and restore anything old—seeing beauty and potential where others might not. His greatest joy, however, was sharing these passions with his beloved wife, Janet.
Sal is survived by his devoted wife, Janet, with whom he shared over 26 years of love and partnership, including 17 years of marriage. Together they built a life filled with adventure, laughter, and deep companionship. He is also lovingly remembered by his stepsons, Larry, Steven, Michael, and James, and his 10 step-grandchildren, whom he adored. Sal is reunited in eternal peace with his beloved parents, Gerald Bellucci and Louise Berardesco Bellucci, and his dear sister, Joanne Bellucci. He also leaves behind a large extended family of cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom he loved deeply.
Sal will be remembered as a man of strength and humility, whose kindness left a lasting mark on all who knew him. His legacy of service, faith, and love will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched. May he rest in God’s eternal peace.
