

Martin "Marty" Wiatrowski, 65, of Ventnor City, NJ, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, January15th, 2026. He was born on September 5th, 1960, in Brooklyn, New York, to parents, Martin and Shirley (nee Hill) Wiatrowski. Marty resided in New York for a short period of time before moving with his family to Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey. When he was ten, his family relocated to Bayville, NJ. He grew up there and attended Central Regional High School, graduating in 1979. Marty played football and wrestled for the Golden Eagles. In 2004, Marty met his wife, Christine, while working at the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City. They were married in April of 2006. Marty and his wife moved to Florida in 2007 and remained there until 2014. They came back to New Jersey in 2014 and settled in Ventnor City. It is here that he remained until his passing. Marty built a distinguished career by delivering outstanding results at several companies. He worked as a computer analyst for the First National Bank of Toms River, an installer for Adelphia Cable, and a slot technician for Royal Caribbean Cruise line, and the Showboat Casino. He also spent eight years working at BJ's Wholesale Club in Mays Landing. Marty enjoyed sports, especially watching his New England Patriots play. But his true passion, was body building, which he won several awards. Marty will be truly missed by all that knew and loved him. He was predeceased by his parents, Martin and Shirley and his beloved dog, Zeus. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Christine, his brothers, Robert Wiatrowski and his wife, Toni, and David Wiatrowski and his wife, Tina. His mother-in-law, Audrey Knorr, and sister-in-laws, Audrey Smithhouser and her husband, David, Barbara Mcilvaine, and her husband Charles, and Donna Knorr. His nieces and nephews, Luke, Zach, Angelina, and her husband, DJ, Robbie, Dominic, Chuckie, Sarah, Lauren, and Megan, and her husband, Andrew. His great-nephews, Donovan and Micah. There will be a celebration of life and visitation with the family on Wednesday, January 21st, 2026, from 10am to 1pm, with a funeral service at 12 noon, at the Thos. L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Drive, Manahawkin, NJ 08050.
