

Robert C. (Bobby) Thornley of Manchester, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 3, 2022. Born in Jersey City, NJ, Bobby lived in North Jersey for nearly 25 years before moving to Manchester in 2012. He worked as a courier for Competitive Courier, in Union since 2012. Bobby enjoyed good music of all genres, great movies, the Pittsburgh Steelers, DC or Marvel comics, and action-packed video games. Bobby also loved to bowl, playing in numerous leagues over the years with his stepdad, “Ozzie”. He possessed an infectious laugh and a brilliant smile. He will be remembered for his kind-heartedness and generosity.
Bobby is survived by his mother Kathleen Thornley of Toms River, his sister Dr. Dana Marie Elia and her husband Dr. James Elia of Willow Street, PA, and her stepchildren, Adrian, Elena, Anthony, and Michael, his stepbrothers Frank Oswald of Lakewood, NJ and Eric Oswald of Brick, NJ. He is preceded in death by his stepfather Frank V. Oswald.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the celebration of life from the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ 08759, on Saturday March 12, 2022 from 2-5:30pm with the memorial service from 5:30-6pm. After the service, the repast will be held at 7pm at Three B’s Bar & Bistro, 314 Route 70, 307 Lake Street Lakehurst, NJ 08733
