Rosemary E. Gerrity

Rosemary E. Gerrity, age 84, of Toms River, New Jersey passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023, with her family by her side. Born in Newark, Rosemary grew up and lived Newark before moving to Toms River in 1971.She was a licensed beautician, den mother for the Cub Scouts while living in Newark, life member of the Pleasant Plains 1st Aid Squad, holding all the ranks, including Captain and a parishioner of Saint Luke's RC Church in Toms River, NJ. Rosemary worked as a senior clerk typist for the Ocean County Superior Court Law Division for over 20 years. She and her husband were extremely family oriented and created a wonderful family. Rosemary was a devoted mother, and her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her hold world and heart.

Rosemary was predeceased by her husband of 65 years Matthew, her son Matthew Kevin and her sister Theresa Torsiello. She is survived by her loving children; James Gerrity, Maureen Gerrity, John Gerrity and his wife Dawn, and Joe Gerrity and his wife Alison, her cherished grandchildren; Erica, Joseph, Matthew and Kaylynn and her great grandchildren; Michael, Kaiden, Carter and Ava, her sister Margaret Catena and her husband Frank, and her brother Ralph Frino and his wife Ann, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ 08759, on Thursday October 12, 2023, from 4-8 pm. Please go straight to the church in the morning. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Luke's RC Church, 1674 Old Freehold Road, Toms River, NJ 08755, on Friday October 13, 2023, at 10:30 am with entombment to follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery, 62 Cedar Grove Road, Toms River, NJ, 08753.
