
Adajawn Otis Clay, 2, passed away Thursday morning, November 25, 2010 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after a brief illness. Born March 31, 2008 in Mansfield, he is the son of Shanna Lynn Clay. He was a happy little boy who had a beautiful smile for everyone he met. Adajawn enjoyed riding in the car and taking walks with his Grandma and Grandpa. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson cycle in the backyard. As his grandpa says, "he definitely had a way of brightening up your day".
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his grandparents, Jeff and Kathy Clay; great-grandparents, Marjorie Slayton and Pauline Clay; aunts and uncles, Joyce Steven Slayton, Tim Slayton Robin Byrd, Debbie Jim Bojer, Tommy Marge Slayton, Johnny Lanna Slayton, Marsha Clay, Patricia Clay Tony Kegley, Jeffrey Chantelle Clay, Larry Joyce Clay, David Rose Clay, Alita Herman Kitchen, and Robert Reeves; numerous cousins, including special cousins, Malaysia, Tyler and Baby J. Clay; and very close friends, Jim and Sherri McGraw. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ruby Otis Clay and Bill Slayton; and aunts, Karen and Mona Booth.
Friends may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor John Harris officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
