Afra Sommer, 96, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Maria Manor where she had resided the last two years. Born October 4, 1920 in Pichl, Germany, she was the daughter of Nikolaus and Martina (Stadelmeier) Sommer.
She is survived by a daughter, Herta Minzaff of Germany; Jen and Ed from Maria Manor and their staff; and Dorothy Oyster from Comfort Care Home Health Services and their staff.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Siegbert Sommer and a daughter.
Per Afra's wishes, cremation will take place and burial will be in Germany.
