Alan L. Taylor, 58, of Mansfield, died Friday, September 23, 2011 at MedCentral Mansfield. Born August 24, 1953 in Mansfield, he was the son of Harlan and Gertrude (Cieslak) Taylor. Alan was a 1971 graduate from Mansfield Senior High School and had worked as a sheet metal worker for his union.
He is survived by his father, Harlan E. Taylor of Mansfield; sister, Christine (Jon) Best of Lexington; brother, Harlan S. Taylor of Warren; nieces and nephews, Ed (Jennifer) Van Cura of Mansfield, Penny (Denny) Mueller of Lexington, Bandy Best of Lexington, Lindsey Best of Birmingham, AL, Brian (Janine) Taylor of Pennsylvania, and Kevin (Christy) Taylor of Chicago, IL; and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and sister-in-law, Sherry Taylor.
Friends may call Tuesday, September 27, 2011 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario. Burial will be held in Mansfield, Memorial Park at a later date.
