
Alice Rose Maglott Ady, 81, died Wednesday March 9, 2005 at her home in Cape Coral, Florida. She peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior. Born June 12, 1923 in Mansfield, Ohio she was formerly of Crestline, Ohio and had resided in Cape Coral, Florida for the past 15 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Sr., her parents, John and Flossie Armstrong Maglott; brothers, Harold and Arthur Maglott; sister and brother-in-law, Florence and Van Norwood; brother-in-law, Levi Zehner; and daughter-in-law, Janet Cheney Ady. She is survived by five children, daughters and sons-in-law, Jerry and Gary Cline of Cape Coral, Florida, and Barbara and Douglas Meade of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; sons and daughters-in-law, Harold Jr. and Nancy Ady of Brookville, Ohio, David and Connie Ady of Glendale, Arizona; and Stephen and Connie Ady of Crestline, Ohio; 21 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Glenn and Joanne Maglott of Mansfield, and James and Joyce Maglott of Dayton, Ohio; sister and brother-in-law, Elma and Clarence Means of Greenville, Ohio; sister-in-law, Georgia Ady Zehner Belknap of Mansfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was an ordained minister with Open Bible Churches for 51 years, and following her husband's death, pastored the Open Bible Church in Crestline for 23 years. She attended the First Assembly of God Church in Ft. Myers, Florida after moving to Cape Coral.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday March 14 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First Church of the Open Bible, 1150 Rafield Road, Mansfield, with her son, Pastor Harold Ady officiating. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway East, Cape Coral, Florida 33909. 'She served the Lord with gladness.'
