Allen Crawford

Allen Rexford Crawford, 81, of Mansfield, died Monday, November 01, 2010, at Mifflin Care Center. Born November 25, 1928, in Mansfield he was the son of Howard F. and Dorothy Adkison Crawford. Allen drove truck for 3-C Highway retiring after 30 years of service. He then worked for Boliantz Meat Packing in Ashland for 10 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, horse shoes and playing euchre at the Senior Center. Allen was married to his 'life long accomplice', Elnora, and enjoyed spending time with his family especially on the many vacations they took together.

Surviving are two sons, Robert Crawford and his companion, Sara Lozier and Allen Crawford, Jr.; two grandchildren, Breanna and Tristin Crawford; a great grandson, Jaden Matthew Sanchez; and a brother, Gary Crawford. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 50 years, Elnora M. Brown Crawford; and a sister, Norma Rizer Crawford.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 4, 2010, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield conducted by Dr. John D. Freeman. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to the services, from 1:00-2:00 p.m., at the funeral home on Thursday.
