
Alma E. 'Almie' Dickerson, age 76, of Mansfield, died Saturday evening at her home September 1, 2001 after a long illness. Almie was born April 10, 1925 in Carter County, Kentucky. She moved to Mansfield 38 years ago from Olive Hill, Kentucky. Almie was a loving mother and grandmother and a faithful servant of the Lord. She attended the Fifth Avenue Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Charles Foster of Dayton, Ohio; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Janie Dickerson of South Shore, Kentucky, Ken and Carolyn Dickerson of Prospect, Ohio and Danny and Bonnie Dickerson of Mansfield; one brother Stearl Mosier of Carter County, Kentucky; and one sister Hazel Mauk of Mansfield; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband George 'Bill' Dickerson and her parents Jessie and Rhoda Blevins Mosier.
Friends may call from 7-9 PM Monday September 3, 2001 at the Fifth Avenue Freewill Baptist Church in Mansfield. Additional calling hours will be held from 5-9 PM Tuesday September 4, 2001 at the Globe Funeral Home in Olive Hill, Kentucky. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday September 5, 2001 at the Pleasant Hill United Baptist Church at 2:00 PM. conducted by Rev. Rick Pelfrey. Burial will take place in the Carroll Cemetery. Wappner Funeral Directors are handling local arrangements.
