Amity "Ami" Jo Stowers

Amity "Ami" Jo Stowers, 42, of Mansfield, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at her residence. Born November 9, 1974 in Valparaiso, Indiana, she was the daughter of Joseph Stowers and Jacelaine (Erick) Jones.

She worked as a physical therapist assistant and loved to help others in any way she could. She was always worried about everyone else and knew no strangers. She was a member of New Covenant Fellowship Church in Crestline and had great faith in her God. Learning did not come easy to Ami, but she was determined and went after her goals and prevailed. Ami's protective drive in life led her to serving others, she served meals on the Square and provided shetler to many animal companions. She truly was a miracle to all who knew her. A wonderful mother, Ami's love of her life was her son, Joshua.

Ami is survived by her son, Joshua Stowers; her mother, Jacelaine (Erick) Jones; her father, Joseph (Peggy) Stowers; a brother, Brody (Tamara) Stowers; two step sisters, Michelle and Alicia; sister of the heart, Christine Turner; a step daughter, Dakota; three step sons, Jesse, Dalton, and Justice; three grandchildren; her grandmother, Mary Jones; several aunts and uncles; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by two grandfathers, a grandmother, an aunt and a niece.

Memorial services for Ami will be held Friday, April 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at New Covenant Fellowship Church, 2535 State Route 598, Crestline, Ohio 44827.
