Andrew Diener

Andrew Diener, age 98, of Mansfield, died Thursday morning April 12, 2007 at Crystal Care, Ashland, Ohio. Mr. Diener was born April 5, 1909 in Yugoslavia living in the Mansfield area for the past 57 years. He retired from Essex and Hi-Stat Manufacturing. Mr. Diener was a member of Apostolic Christian Church, Middle-Bellville Road.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Erich & Kaye Diener of Ashland, Emil & Debbie Diener of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Gwendolyn & her husband, Denver Mills of Texas, Melissa Diener of Sugarcreek, Ohio, Adam & his wife, Jayme Diener of Newark, Ohio, Emily Diener of Columbus, Ohio and Avery Diener of Mansfield; two great-grandchildren, Toby & Mason Mills; and a niece, Hedy & her husband Wayne Watson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Balg Diener; his parents, Andreas & Elizabeth Albrecht Diener; a brother Peter Diener and a sister, Elizabeth Lamnek.

Funeral services will be held Saturday April 14, at 11 a.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, conducted by the Apostolic Christian Church. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Drive, Ashland, Ohio 44903.
