
Anita "Ruth" Brubaker, 80, of Mansfield, died April 30, 2008, at Mifflin Care Center following several months of illness. Born June 24, 1927, in Willard, she was the daughter of Arthur and Ruby Mae Roe Henry. She owned and operated the Pond-Vue Bridal Shop in Willard for 17 years. She was loved dearly by her family and was known for her apple pie, homemade beef and noodles and her superb quilting skills. She was a member of the Ontario United Methodist Church for over 25 years.
She is survived by daughters, Dianne Bruce Engle of Mansfield and Vickie George Cox Bellville; a sister, Kathleen Rondal Haupricht and a brother, Kenneth Barbara Henry all of Willard; grandsons, Andrew Bolen of Mansfield, Michael Shannon Bolen of Dayton and Jeromy Alison Bolen of Mansfield; granddaughters, Amy Eric Barnett of MO and Jennifer William Galloway of TN; 13 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leslie Ray Brubaker; her parents; two brothers, Gene and Merle Henry; and a sister, Dorothy Watson.
Memorial funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the Ontario United Methodist Church, 3540 Park Avenue West, Mansfield, conducted by Rev. David E. Case, Jr. Friends may gather from 1-2 p.m. prior to the memorial service. Private family graveside service will be held in Willard at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ontario United Methodist Church or Dr. Charles Stanley, In Touch Ministries. Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family of Mrs. Brubaker.
