
Ann Sanney, 54, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, December 18, 2007 from injuries sustained in an auto accident. Born March 28, 1953 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, she was the daughter of William R. and Elizabeth Hurd McCoy. Ann was employed as a LPN at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. She was a member of Peoples Baptist Church where she was active in the outreach programs. Ann enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and also enjoyed photography.
She is survived by her fiancé, Melvin Proffit of Mansfield; four sons, Kenn Andrea Spencer of Ontario, Pastor James Michele Spencer of Lexington, Chris Lisa Spencer of Mansfield and Mark Kathi Sanney of Forest City, NC; nineteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, John Homer McCoy; three sisters, Lucy Spencer, Daisy Frasier and Eleanor George; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry Spencer; second husband, Phillip Sanney; parents; three brothers; and four sisters.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m., Friday, December 21 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 22 at Peoples Baptist Church, 223 Vanderbilt Rd., with Pastor James Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the church in memory of Ann Sanney.
