Anna Bridges Ware

Anna Mae Bridges Ware, 73, of Ashland, died Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Crystal Care Center in Ashland. Born October 9, 1934 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Lesley Harold and Mae Elizabeth Aby Bridges. She was formerly employed at Sturges Nursing Home as a Health Care Aide as well as at Dominion Electric. Anna was a member of First English Lutheran Church. A fan of Billy Ray Cyrus as well as a member of his fan club, she enjoyed listening to Country music. Anna was an enterprising woman and always found a way to make things happen in her life. In her earlier years, she enjoyed fishing and was a fabulous cook.

She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Jerry Brownfield of Columbus and Penny Robert Brown of Deerlodge, Montana; former husband, Lawrence Ware of Mansfield; two grandchildren, Noel Stephen Lewis of WA and Jennifer Brownfield of Columbus; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, David Wanda Bridges of Mansfield and Larry JoAnne Bridges of Bellville; former brother-in-law, Joseph Evelyn Connell of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 22 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Keith Carlisle officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
