

Anna Rungger Brown, 87, of Mansfield, died Wednesday afternoon, August 11, 2004 at Oak Grove Manor. She was born March 8, 1917, in Chicago, Illinois to George Sr. and Ursula Rungger. Anna was a Mansfield area homemaker since 1977 and was a member of Victory Road Baptist Church, formerly known as Trimble Road Baptist Church. She loved playing cards, going fishing and traveling and was a member of the V.F. W.
She is survived by a three daughters and two sons-in-law, Nancy Louise Brown and her best friend, Don Taylor, Holly Lynn and Ervin Brown, both of Mansfield, and Doris Marie and Michael Barney of Cicero, Illinois; nine grandchildren, Joy Seavolt, Ervina Wright and her husband Willie Wright of Kentucky, Mike Mawer and his wife Julie, Kevin Harvey, Steve Mawer, Brian, Ashley and Tyler Bennett and Brittany Clark; four great-grandchildren, Leslie and April Mawer, Charles and Keith Thompson; numerous nieces and nephews and many close friends who cared for her. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Thomas McGilvary Brown, two brothers and a sister-in-law, John Rungger, George and Marie Rungger; and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank all the friends, doctors, nurses and staff at Mifflin Care Center and Oak Grove Manor for caring for Anna.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 16 at 1:00 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, officiated by Rev. John A. Wiseman. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
