Anna Simms

Anna Wade Hisey Simms, 99 of Marysville, died Monday, May 19, 2008 at Heartland of Marysville. Born May 18, 1909 in Cedar Bluff, Mississippi, she was the daughter of Hugh and Leona Johnson Wade. Anna was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church and Modern Woodman of America.

She is survived by three children, Donald G. Hisey of Corinth, Vermont, Glenn A. Hisey of Ontario, and Alice A. Simms of Hilliard; stepson, Robert E. Simms of Mansfield; eight grandchildren, Linda Hayes, Scott, JoAnne, and Glenda Hisey, Shannon Richendollar, whom she resided with in Marysville for the last 6 years, Mike Simms, Michelle Gies, and Melissa Lehrer; 11 great-grandchildren, Emily Hisey, Lyndsay Cushard, Tyler Jacobs, Brianna and Braden Richendollar, Jenna and Kevin Simms, Katie and Jordan Gies, and Jacob and Shea Lehrer; brother, Clyde Wade of Starkville, Mississippi; sister, Louise Howell of Starkville, Mississippi; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death in 1997 by her second husband, William R. Simms; first husband, Glenn L. Hisey; son, Tyrone Hisey; parents; two sisters; seven brothers; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2008 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Larry Grahn. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
