Anna Wade

Anna E. Wade (nee Johnson), age 90, of Mansfield, OH passed away Friday, January 10, 2014 at Kingston of Ashland nursing home. Anna was born on March 4, 1923 in West Liberty, KY to the late Leander and Minnie Johnson. Her husband of 45 years, William O. Wade, preceded her in death in 1991.

Anna retired from the Mansfield Tire and Rubber Company in 1978 after 37 years of service. She was an active member of the Mansfield Tire & Rubber Twenty Five Year Club. She participated in the Sherman Estates Historic District resident's association.

Anna is survived by her son, Gary L. (Nancy) Wade of Heath, OH; grandchildren, Christie L. (Chad) Fletcher of Black Lick, OH, Katie J. (Loren) Wong of Colorado Springs, CO, Steven G. Wade of New Albany, OH, and step-grandson, Brian Robinson of MI; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Lexie St. John of Lexington, OH, Mary Dean of Deland, FL, and Rose Ison of West Liberty, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Carl, Woodrow, Quentin "Babe", and Vincent Johnson; and sisters, Emma Day and Sarah Kershner.

Friends and family may call from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Rd., Ontario. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
